Game Over Teaser: A Wheelchair-Bound Taapsee Pannu Is Troubled By An Uninvited Guest
The teaser of Taapsee Pannu starrer Game Over is out now. It’s pretty intriguing and comes across as a dark psychological thriller with elements of horror
Taapsee Pannu’s upcoming film Game Over promises to be a thrilling ride with elements of horror in place. The official teaser was dropped online a while back, and it begins with an appeal to viewers to use their headphones for the best experience.
Next, a shot of miniature toys comprising of Tom & Jerry, Wonder Woman is shown and we see Taapsee inserting a video game cartridge into the player. Her character seems to be that of a game developer who is troubled by a looming spirit in the house. We see her bound to a wheelchair in certain portions with some injury marks, as if she is trying to escape from someone. WATCH THE TEASER BELOW:

The dark teaser also hints at alternate lives as the tag-line suggests, “We all have two lives… the second one starts when we know there is only one left.” It’s very difficult to decode what exactly could be the reason for Taapsee’s worries. Is it her own mind or is it really the presence of an uninvited guest at her house? Also, if you notice, the star cast seems to be limited as the whole focus is on Taapsee’s character alone.
Game Over is written by Saravanan and Kaavya Ramkumar and shot by DoP A Vasanth. The movie will be presented by Anurag Kashyap. Last week, Kashyap nad announced that he has teamed up with Reliance Entertainment and Y Not Studios to present the Hindi version of this bilingual film.
In a statement, Anurag wrote, " I am very kicked about presenting this game-changing film in Hindi. The film proves yet again that the quality of filmmaking from the South is just outstanding and it is great to see how Ashwin Saravanan has pushed the boundaries and made a genre-bending film, something that we have ever seen before." Game Over will be releasing on June 14 this year.
